Star Spangled Celebration July 4, 2011 Schedule of Events 8:00 AM The BASF Freedom Mile � Runners take your mark! Join the Club South Runners for this one mile foot race through downtown Baton Rouge. Visit www.lawired.com/csr/home.htm for more information. 12:00 noon Vendor Booths Open � Food galore, from ice cream and pizza to hamburgers and funnel cakes and spicy Cajun cuisine. Ice cold Coca-Cola, Budweiser, and bottled water will be on sale to quench your thirst. All this and so much more! Looking for activities for the kids? Face painting will be available and the USS KIDD will be open for touring until 3:00 p.m. with patriotic music broadcast until the live performances start at 3:00 p.m 3:00 � 4:30 PM West Bound Train featuring Anita LeBlanc � These veteran Baton Rouge musicians will put you in the mood to celebrate with a mixture of country, pop, rock, and oldies. 4:30 � 6:00 PM Na Na Sha � One of the hottest show bands in the South, Na Na Sha performs some of the greatest hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Get your blue suede shoes out and poof up that pompadour. It�s time to jitterbug on the Riverfront. 6:00 � 6:30 PM ?Air Raid�Baton Rouge!!!? � The Louisiana Air National Guard will conduct a fly-by with F-15 Eagle jet aircraft in tribute to our men and women in uniform. Immediately following, grab your helmets and take cover as vintage World War II aircraft stage a mock attack on the USS KIDD. The veteran destroyer will defend herself with her main guns. Don�t miss the experience! Hot Air Balloon Lift-Off � Watch the hot air balloons light up the evening skies. 6:30 � 7:45 PM Jenny Brooks � Returning again this year is Slidell native Jenny Brooks. She is coming in from Nashville. She has appeared in videos airing on CMT and GAC, including ?Till I Was A Daddy Too? by Tracy Lawrence and ?Let Me Love You? by Lonestar. 7:45 � 9:00 PM Jett Williams � Country music traditionalist Jett Williams�Daughter of legendary singer Hank Williams�returns to perform selections off of her latest CD ?Honk?! as well as other favorites and country classics. 9:00 WBRZ-TV & The Advocate Present �Fireworks On The Mississippi� � Close out the day with a bang!
