This is located at www.cajunradio.org/northboulevardfestivaloflightsbatonrouge.html North Boulevard "FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS" Downtown lights up and kicks-off the holiday season with the North Boulevard "FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS" Friday, December 3rd The Downtown Development District hosts downtown�s premier holiday event with lights, Santa arriving on a fire truck music, shopping and a host of seasonal activities from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The Downtown Development District in conjunction with local sponsors and organizations will celebrate the holidays with a magical evening of family entertainment. The North Boulevard Festival of Lights in downtown Baton Rouge under the majestic oaks lining North Boulevard and Third Street. The Mayor will light thousands of lights on the city�s 30-foot Christmas Tree. North Boulevard will be magically transformed into a wonderland of a half million tiny white lights. We encourage the public to join us for an exciting, free, fun-filled evening to begin our Christmas season. Come ring in the Christmas season with an evening of song, dance, theater, an historic village, and area artists showcasing their talents. The downtown lighting ceremony celebrates the best of the performing, visual and culinary arts. The concert stage is provided by LSU will anchor the Festival of the Lights bringing school age children, ballet, the Sweet Adelines and sing-along. Dancers, musicians, and characters in period dress will create a marketplace set in Biblical times. Children can craft homemade ornaments, and assemble care packages for the Homeless Center. Live music and dance and roving characters will get everyone into the spirit. Organized by First Presbyterian Church. LIVE NATIVITY SCENE from 6 p.m.-6:30 p.m. On the lawn at First Presbyterian Church located at 763 North Boulevard, a beautiful Live Nativity re-enactment will offer a poignant start to the Christmas season. ANGEL'S AWARE a children�s musical at 7 p.m. Where else can you see a Hays Town-designed stable complete with live animals? Also, have a digital picture made onsite.
